DockerCon Europe 2015 is a two-day Docker-centric conference that is organized by Docker, Inc on November 16-17, 2015 in Barcelona, Spain. Building on the success of the previous editions, DockerCon continues to grow to reflect Docker's blooming ecosystem and community. While we want to preserve the ambiance and simplicity of the first DockerCon, this edition will be by far the largest Docker-centric event happening in Europe.

At DockerCon you'll have the opportunity to hear about all of the interesting ways developers, Ops, DevOps and Sysadmins are using Docker. Q. Do I need to wear my badge throughout the entire DockerCon 2015 conference?

A. Yes, your conference badge is required for entry into the conference. Please be aware that you will be asked for valid photo identification at registration before receiving a conference badge.

Q. Do I need a visa to attend the conference?

A. There are a few countries that require a visa for entry. We recommend checking in advance with your country’s local consulate or embassy.

Visa invitation letters will be submitted for approval for those attendees that have requested a visa invite letter and have completed registration for a full conference pass including payment. We can only issue visa letters for fully paid attendees and you will need to allow 2-3 weeks’ time for your embassy to process your request. Visa letter request will not be accepted after 23 October 23 2015.

Q. What is the conference substitution and cancellation policy?

Substitutions: Substitutions: We will accept substitutions through 28 October 2015 via email to dockercon@docker.com.

Cancellations: No refund on Alpha Whale or Early Bird Registrations; Substitutions only. Substitutions will be accepted through 28 October 2015 via email to dockercon@docker.com. For Standard Registration, a $25 cancellation fee will be charged (with written cancellation) made by 17:00 PT on 16 October 2015 via email to dockercon@docker.com. No refunds will be given for cancellations made after 16 October 2015.

Accomodations

Q. How do I book a hotel room for the conference?

A. The official hotel for DockerCon Europe 2015 is the Hilton Diagonal Mar Barcelona. A special discounted rate of 157.00 EUR/night includes complimentary Internet in your sleeping room and access to the fitness center. Breakfast is not included in this rate as it is provided at the CCIB and included with your conference registration. Reservations are first come, first served and must be secured by 30 October 2015. Code of Conduct

Exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, staff and all other attendees at events organized by Docker, Inc (DockerCon, meetups, user groups) or held at Docker, Inc facilities are subject to these Community Guidelines and Code of Conduct. We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free experience for everyone, and we do not tolerate harassment of participants in any form.

We ask you to be considerate of others and behave professionally and respectfully to all other participants. Remember that sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any event venue, including talks. Participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the event without a refund at the discretion of the organizers or Docker, Inc staff members.

Harassment includes offensive verbal comments related to gender, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, sexual images in public spaces, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or other events, inappropriate physical contact, and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the event organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the event with no refund. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of the event staff immediately.

Event staff will be happy to help participants address concerns. All reports will be treated as confidential. We strongly encourage you to address your issues privately with any of our staff members who are organizing the event. We encourage you to avoid disclosing information about the incident until the staff has had sufficient time in which to address the situation. Please also keep in mind that public shaming can be counter-productive to building a strong community. We do not condone nor participate in such actions.

CONDUCT OF SPONSOR: Organizer reserves the right to restrict or prohibit exhibits which, because of noise, method of operation, content, or any other reason, are objectionable or otherwise detract from or are out of keeping with the character of the Event as a whole.

PROMOTIONAL ITEMS: With respect to promotional items that will be sponsored (the “Sponsored Items”) at the Event, Organizer shall have the sole right to: (i) make the final determination regarding design of the Sponsored Items (i.e., colors, logo placement, etc.); (ii) make modifications to Sponsored Items when necessary at Organizer’s discretion; and (iii) decide when and how Sponsored Items will be distributed during the Event.

We expect all participants to follow these rules at all event venues and related social events.
